The environment to edit and enter these posts is not as easy as I initially thought. The copy and paste took everything with it from the sites I used. Hopefully over time I will get better at this.
17Thus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Messiah.
If my math is right that is 42 generations. I'm having a hard time determining my Fathers' Father. It is amazing that such detail was kept in a time of few learned men who could write or scribe. Does it speak of the importance of the Messiah, that his ancestory was traced through time? I guess some could argue that it was all made up. Is there proof of these people? Do we really need to know this as a fact? What other things do we except as fairly rational people that perhaps don't have a concrete proof. The existence of dinasours is proven by their remains and other artifacts. I don't even imaging to contest their existence despite no written record of them. It's a slippery slope when we begin to require proof for every fact. Through reasoning and sound unemotional thought I think we can accept some ideas.

The Gospel of Matthew - I
I thought initially that I would look at some of the outlines and history of this book. From wikipedia I learned most of it and below are some quotes that I found interesting.
in Matthew Jesus talks more about the Kingdom of Heaven than himself, and teaches primary using short parables or short sayings rather than extended speeches (as in John).
according to Graham N. Stanton, his awkward use of the Old Testament as a set of proof texts, anti-Jewish statements and harsh comments on Judgment has been puzzling for modern readers.

and ministry of Jesus of Nazareth. It describes his genealogy, his miraculous birth and childhood, his baptism and temptation, his ministry of healing and preaching in Galilee, his trip to Jerusalem marked by an incident in the Temple, and finally his crucifixion and resurrection. The resurrected Jesus commissions his Apostles to "go and make disciples of all nations."It narrates an account of the

Adsense - ?
I decided that this would be a way to get some money for my church. In the event the site gets any hits. Hopefully as I add posts the topics will be more relative to what I want to see here. So excuse me if they are not really appropriate in the start. I'm learning the ropes on Adsense. I will post if any money is received and then have a poll on what should be done with it.
The start
I've always held the belief that my life is through Him. The problem is that I've never committed it by study and practice. My hope is that this will provide me with the avenue to study (as time permits) and some interaction with others that may or may not be like minded. If you feel that you must comment I only ask that it is respectful. I will not delete your comment if you disagree but I will if you are rude or disrespectful. My plan is to follow the new testament in order presented by http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Testament. I will try to source out the books as I read them so you to can follow along. My plan is to not only read the words but study their meaning and background.
I currently attend Hillside in London and find that the teachings there by Tim Bailey have opened my eyes to a different style and way of thinking. My path originally was through a Catholic base of learning that I found very rigid and lacked the ability to question what is written and said.
